Aranyaka

“Relating to the forest”

Aranyaka

Welcome to the world of Aranyaka, a collaboration between yoga teacher/sound bath facilitator Mike Julian & multi-instrumentalist Mercedes Maresca.

This is a musical experience / sound-bath born out of a desire to facilitate sound baths with aspects of ambient & experimental music included.

What Is Aranyaka?

The Vedas are a collection of ancient, sacred texts written in Sanskrit. They comprise four parts, the Upanishads, the Brahamanas, the Samhitas & the Aranyakas.

The Sanskrit work Aranyaka translates as “relating to the forest” or “belonging to the wilderness”.

This event will feature Paiste symphonic gong, silver flute, Tibetan singing bowls & other percussion.

What To Expect?

The important thing to remember in a sound bath is that you don’t have to do anything. We have enough bolsters & blankets in the studio to make you all very comfortable so that you can relax fully and allow the sounds to immerse you. Please bring something to cover your eyes to allow a deeper connection.
